What should I wear?
For most treatments, I work directly on the skin using massage oil, as I find this allows for a more flowing and effective experience. You will be invited to undress to your level of comfort and will be professionally draped with towels or linens throughout the session, with only the area being worked on exposed.
Will the massage be painful?
Massage should never feel unbearable. Some techniques, particularly deeper work, may bring moments of intensity, but communication is always encouraged and treatments are adapted to your comfort and needs.
In deeper areas of tension, we may work with breath and moments of stillness, allowing the body time to soften and respond. Rather than pushing through pain, the intention is to create an experience that feels supportive and therapeutic- a space where healing can emerge through presence, trust, and gentle awareness.
What if I become emotional during a treatment?
Emotional responses during massage are more common than many people realise. When the body begins to relax, feelings that have been pushed aside can sometimes surface.
If this happens, please know that all experiences are welcome. There is no need to hold anything together here. You will be supported with kindness, presence, and respect throughout your session.
Do I have to talk during the massage?
No. Apart from occasional check-ins about pressure and comfort, sessions are generally held in quiet.
I believe massage offers a rare opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and return to the experience of simply being in your body. This stillness invites deeper relaxation, supports presence, and allows space to notice what you may have been too busy to hear.
Many people find this quiet to be one of the most restorative aspects of the treatment.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment details will be provided at the time of booking. Further information will be shared as ATA grows.
What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens, and sometimes plans need to change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
As each treatment time is reserved especially for you, appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, will be charged at the full treatment fee.
Do I need to provide anything for a Mother-at-Home Massage?
No. I will bring everything needed for your treatment, including a professional massage table, fresh linens, and calming touches to help you settle into the experience with ease.
Can my children be present during my Mother-at-Home Massage?
Absolutely. These sessions are designed with the realities of motherhood in mind. Whether your little ones are napping, playing nearby, or in your arms, you are invited to receive care in a way that feels supportive and realistic for your family.
What is the complimentary child massage?
Following your treatment, you’re welcome to include a complimentary 10-minute massage for one of your children. While your child experiences the gentle benefits of nurturing touch, you’ll have the opportunity to slowly transition back into the rhythm of family life with a warm cup of tea prepared just for you.
Are massages suitable during pregnancy?
Please get in touch before booking so we can discuss your individual circumstances and determine whether massage is appropriate for you.
How do I book?
Please use the contact form on the website to enquire about availability. Submitting the form does not confirm a booking, but I will respond as soon as possible to arrange a suitable appointment.
